Toyota Motor Corp., Japan's biggest automaker, forecast operating profit for the current year to slide by a fifth due to increased spending to push sales in a slowing U.S. market and the lingering impact from a stronger yen.

Daimler Drops Bid to Win Approval to Sell U.S. 2017 Mercedes Diesels

German automaker Daimler AG said on Tuesday it had dropped plans to seek U.S. approval to sell 2017 Mercedes-Benz U.S. diesel models, but had not decided whether to exit the American passenger diesel market.

BMW to Raise Production Capacity to 3 Million Cars by 2020

In North America and Mexico, production capacity will be increased to 750,000 vehicles from 410,000, [German daily Handelsblatt said] adding that BMW brand wants to overtake rival Mercedes-Benz, which is owned by Daimler, to reclaim the volume sales crown for premium carmakers.

New FTC Website Helps Small Businesses Avoid Scams and Cyber Attacks

Attacks can be especially devastating to small businesses; Agency provides information on how they can protect themselves

At the direction of Acting Chairman Maureen Ohlhausen, the Federal Trade Commission has launched a new website – ftc.gov/SmallBusiness – with articles, videos and other information aimed at helping small business owners avoid scams and protect their computers and networks from cyber attacks and other threats.

NADAShow 2018 Is Now Accepting Workshop Proposals

The NADAShow 2018, which will be held in Las Vegas from March 22 to 25, is looking for experts to present on workshop topics that are relevant to new-car dealers and their managers. The deadline for submitting a proposal is 11:59 p.m. ET on June 26, 2017.
