Around the Regions

This special edition of Around the Regions highlights the 2005 NADO Innovation Award recipients. The 65 winners will be recognized in various ways in Seattle, Washington at the 2005 NADO Annual Training Conference, August 27-30. There will be an evening reception on Monday, August 29 held in their honor, and they will participate in a special photo session with NADO President Jack Scriber. Finally, award winners will be recognized in the conference program, and they are currently listed on NADO’s Web site at www.nado.org/meetings/atc.html.

In partnership with the NADO Research Foundation, NADO's Annual Innovation Awards program gives national recognition to programs and projects that showcase the diverse activities of the nation's regional development organizations (RDO). The awards program highlight how RDOs are helping to improve the quality of life and economic prospects of America's local communities. But most importantly, the program reinforces the effectiveness of working regionally to address local needs, especially in underserved small metropolitan and rural regions.
