Builders Learn More About the Benefits of Building Systems
More than 75,000 attendees from the building industry gathered at the 2014 International Builders’ Show Feb. 4-6 in Las Vegas. The Building Systems Councils offered more than  six presentations and a luncheon in the Building Systems Learning Destination lounge during the show. Attendees learned more about modular home building, building with structural insulated panels (SIP's), panelized home building, the energy-efficiency of log homes and more.
The BSC booth provided information on the systems-built industry, and attendees were able to speak with BSC members regarding systems-built techniques and business opportunities. More than 200 attendees sat in on the education presentations and visited the BSC booth. Attendees also checked out the 2014 Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Building at the BSC Awards Wall. Award recipients displayed their winning floor plans and marketing strategies.
In addition to education presentations, the BSC hosted two book signings with Operation Finally Home. Dancing with the Stars winner and actor J.R. Martinez signed copies of his book, Full of Heart and Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch signed copies of his book, Adapt or Die. Lynch also spoke at the IBS Live! stage and presented a session on the importance of adaptive leadership in the BSC Learning Destination lounge
The Building Systems Councils also hosted a luncheon with a special presentation by BSC builder member, Dan Mitchell of Eagle CDI, who discussed building systems from a builder’s point of view. Attendees were treated to a buffet lunch and were able to ask questions about how employing systems in their business can change the way they approach construction. Champion Home Builders, Mariotti Building Products and Ritz-Craft Corporation sponsored the lunch.

Overall, an increase number of builders are seeing the advantages of implementing building with systems into their business plans as showcased by the turnout in the Building Systems Councils events. Building systems technologies are increasingly sought after by buyers and builders alike because of their inherent construction efficiencies and green-building principles.
