NAHU Released Six Press Statements

NAHU issued six press releases in the last month. Our “NAHU Responds to Bipartisan Congressional Letter to Secretary Sebelius” press statement addressed a letter sent to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius by Congressmen John Carney (D-DE) and Charlie Dent (R-PA), along with 73 more members of Congress, regarding improvements to the Federal Healthcare Exchange website. In the “NAHU Member before Congressional Committee” press statement, NAHU acknowledged our Maryland State Wide AHU member Alan Schulman for testifying at a hearing on the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the self-employed.

Both the “NAHU’s Capitol Conference Addresses Healthcare Reform” and “NAHU Awards Ohio State Representative Top Advocacy Honor” press statements were distributed during this year’s Capitol Conference. Also, we have prepared this “Capitol Conference Attendance” press release template that is a current resource to reach out to your local media by simply filling in the blanks highlighted in red.

The “Employer Shared Responsibility Rules Provide Relief to Employers of All Sizes” press statement addressed the final rule on compliance with the employer shared responsibility requirements under the health-reform law, which was announced on February 10 by the U.S. Treasury Department. Also, the “Repeal of Health Reform’s Risk Mitigation Programs Would Cause Undue Harm” press statement was released on February 7 regarding the long-term impact of Congress repealing the health-reform law’s risk corridor provisions and the transitional reinsurance program.
