HHS Decides to Listen Outside of Washington

Over the last two weeks, the federal Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has held “listening sessions” here in Washington, DC to get the perspective of providers, consumer groups, employers, agents and insurers about PPACA’s essential benefit requirements for qualified health plans to be issued to individuals and small employers beginning January 1, 2014. Over the next few weeks they will be taking their “listening tour” on the road, and meeting with interested parties at various HHS regional offices across the country. Read More

Have You Registered for Capitol Conference 2012?

Online registration is now open, and we invite you to register today! It's vital that NAHU members visit with our lawmakers and present them with health reform ideas that work, especially this year. Both the 2012 presidential and congressional elections are looming, and top consideration is being paid to our political leaders’ response to health reform. Agents and brokers have a distinctive knowledge of the health insurance marketplace, and it’s important to meet with your elected officials to share NAHU’s message. Click here to visit the conference website. Read More
