Bipartisan Letter to Help Brokers is in the House

Representatives John Carney (D-DE) and Charlie Dent (R-PA) have teamed up to write a letter highlighting the access issues agents and brokers are having helping their clients in the exchange marketplace. The letter, which was circulated through the House of Representatives this week by the 900 NAHU members that attended Capitol Conference, asks the Administration to set up a hotline for agents and brokers with problem cases and implement an application edit function... Read More

CBO Scores the Forty Hours Is Full Time Act

We’ve been talking about the burden the 30-hour workweek as defined by PPACA puts on the nation’s mid-to-large size business owners for going on four years now. Bipartisan legislation to make the problem a smidge better is pending in both the House and the Senate and it looks like the Save the American Worker Act (AKA the Forty Hours Is Full Time Act in the Senate) may actually be voted on by the full House of Representatives in the next few weeks... Read More
