Our media gurus tell us that one of our biggest press hits this week is from yours truly as we were quoted in Bloomberg BNA regarding the advantage consumers have of receiving counsel from brokers and agents on choosing the best insurance policies. “’We have seen how much help consumers need at the individual level and at the employer level’ since enactment of the ACA, which requires individuals and many businesses to buy health insurance, said Waltman.” Additionally, Ohio AHU member John Dodd commented in the Columbus Dispatch on Healthcare.gov’s proposed rate increase of 14.5% for 2016 plans in Ohio to help restore profitability.

We also have new numbers on our social media campaign. Since March, NAHU's new social media campaign has tremendously increased our social media presence, numbers and viewership on our Facebook and Twitter pages. We are excited to share this quarter’s analytics indicating the campaign's great progress.

Twitter:

  • Since March 1, NAHU's profile was visited almost 5,000 times.
  • NAHU gained 747 new followers, an increase of almost 18%!
  • NAHU's tweets were seen 143.5 thousand times, averaging to 1.4 thousand per day.

Facebook:

  • Since March 1, NAHU's posts reached, on average, 769 unique individuals each day.
  • NAHU's page was visited 690 times.
  • People interacted with NAHU’s posts and your page more than 2,800 times.

Campaigns:

  • Social media links of the Education Foundation's Value-Based Insurance Design webinar were clicked more than 56 times.
