Healthcare Happy Hour: How States Can Take Advantage of ACA Waivers

The Trump Administration released follow-up guidance on its state relief and empowerment waivers this week, providing four examples of how states can take advantage of the newly announced changes. On this week’s episode of the Healthcare Happy Hour, NAHU’s Marcy M. Buckner and Chris Hartmann unpack these “concept waivers” and how your state could be affected by these waivers if approved. Marcy and Chris also discuss their meeting this week with key Treasury Department officials on the HRA regulations and other employer issues, as well as the latest happenings on Capitol Hill—both in the lame-duck session as NAHU seeks to pass a further delay of the HIT and for next year as the parties establish their leadership roles.
