NAHU Coalition Seeks Input on 226J Letters
The Partnership for Employer-Sponsored Healthcare is seeking feedback from NAHU members and their clients on the 2016 IRS 226J employer mandate tax penalty letters. The IRS recently began sending these letters to employers who are impacted for calendar year 2016, and we are looking to hear from you if you have received one of these letters and the information requested or penalties assessed. We will be using this information on Capitol Hill as part of our advocacy efforts to reform the ACA’s employer reporting requirements and to implement a prospective reporting system. Legislation was introduced in previous sessions of Congress and we are in the process of re-introducing these bills for the new session in the coming weeks.
