Fast Facts

  • President Biden announced this week that the White House and a group of senators have reached an agreement on a bipartisan infrastructure bill, which will not contain healthcare measures that were previously considered for inclusion.
  • NAHU submitted a letter to the co-sponsors of S. 1988, the Protecting Rural Telehealth Access Act, commending the bipartisan group for sponsoring legislation that would make the current pandemic-induced telehealth flexibilities, including audio-only telehealth appointments, permanent. Ask your senators to support S. 1988 now with our Operation Shout campaign.
  • NAHU is calling on you to contact your federal legislators and urge them to co-sponsor H.R. 3650 and S. 2048 through our recently released Operation Shout campaigns. These bills would end the “observation status” loophole for Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Don’t forget to sign up for our 2021 NAHU Virtual 5k Run and Walk, benefiting HUPAC's Administrative Fund. This virtual race can be done in the comfort of your own neighborhood and can be completed any time from today through July 5. Competitive participants can provide their results in our race's virtual leaderboard.
