But the fun doesn’t end there! On Monday, the keynote speaker is Robert Laszewski, president of Health Policy and Strategy Associates. Bob is referred to as a "must read" source of information for health policy and marketplace developments, and has been quoted repeatedly in major newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New York Times, USA Today, and the Los Angeles Times and has appeared frequently on The CBS Evening News, The NBC Evening News, PBS News Hour, Fox News, CNN, CNBC, CBS Radio, and National Public Radio. Bob has operated a policy and market consulting business since 1992 following 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, serving as a chief operating officer for nine of those years.

The parade of interesting speakers continues on Tuesday and Wednesday with keynotes by Marilyn Tavenner, CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and Charlie Cook, editor and publisher of the Cook Political Report and a political analyst for National Journal magazine. As former administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Tavenner was responsible for the two largest healthcare payers in the country, Medicare and Medicaid, and also oversaw the inaugural rollout of the Affordable Care Act's insurance exchanges two years ago. Cook is considered one of the nation's leading authorities on American politics and U.S. elections. Tuesday and Wednesday are also our primary direct lobbying days on the Hill, where you have the opportunity to meet with your senators and representatives and relay the issues impacting employers, individuals, and brokers alike. Each year, our members combined force cover virtually every office on Capitol Hill and demonstrate their knowledge and expertise to members of Congress and their staffs.

Online registration is open and we invite you to register today for NAHU's 26th Annual Capitol Conference! As 2016 is a presidential election year, now is the perfect time to come to Washington, D.C., and stand up as a force for change.
