NAHU’s weekly health policy podcast, the “Healthcare Happy Hour,” is now available on iTunes and Stitcher! We encourage everyone to subscribe to the podcast to be alerted as soon as the podcast is posted each week, ahead of the Washington Update hitting your mailbox.

This week’s episode of NAHU’s Healthcare Happy Hour podcast includes a discussion with NAHU’s Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy M. Buckner and Vice Presidents of Congressional Affairs John Greene and Chris Hartmann. The major healthcare headlines this week dealt with mental health parity and the opioid epidemic, and the podcast reviews major actions taken this week and how they relate to NAHU’s policy priorities. The podcast also discusses the current status of other NAHU priorities, such as treating COBRA as creditable coverage for Medicare and restoring the 40-hour workweek. Additionally, Marcy, John and Chris review NAHU’s short-term plan comments that were submitted this week and what to expect as the Trump Administration writes the final rule.
