Fast Facts

  • NAHU activated Operation Shout in support of H.R. 748 and S. 684, legislation to permanently repeal the Cadillac Tax. A separate Operation Shout is available for your clients to take action on how the tax will impact their coverage offerings.
  • Bipartisan legislation was introduced in the House and Senate to address Medicare’s “two midnight” policy. NAHU will activate Operation Shout next week to encourage support of these bills.
  • President Trump released his 2020 budget request that included funding of the “America First” prescription drug initiative, along with several NAHU-supported provisions addressing expanded use of HSAs and marketplace reforms.
  • NAHU and the Stop the Hit coalition sent a letter to Congressional leadership urging them to include a continued suspension of the HIT in the upcoming must-pass legislative packages ahead of the 2020 rate review process.
