Hurricane vinyl windows and doors
Kolbe & Kolbe Millwork Co. of Wausau, Wis., expanded its line of K-Force impact certified products with Windquest Series vinyl windows and patio doors that received High Velocity Hurricane Zone approval from the state of Florida. The fenestrations meet large-missile impact level D and wind zone 4 testing standards in excess of 140 miles per hour, according to a company release. Products include casement, awning, double-hung, sliding and single-hung windows, and sliding doors in a range of sizes, shapes and configurations. The units’ multichambered unplasticised polyvinyl chloride extrusions create a thermal barrier, and fusion-welded frames and sash corners prevent water and air infiltration, according to the release. Products come in white, beige, or coated with colors to complement design schemes; performance divided lites or grilles-in-the-airspace; and a selection of trims, accessories, screens, and handle and hardware styles.
