Pilkington to pay for air violations
Pilkington North America of Toledo, Ohio, agreed to pay $60,000 for excessive air pollution at its Rossford, Ohio, plant. The glass manufacturing facility was cited in December 2005 for violating the state air pollution permit with extreme releases of particulates, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. Pilkington reported the same violations and determined the cause to be a type of dolomite rock used at the time.
