Nippon Sheet Glass to pay cartel fine
Tokyo-based Nippon Sheet Glass announced Jan. 31 that it will pay the $207.9 million fine it received for the company’s involvement in a price-fixing cartel. The company’s subsidiary, Pilkington Group Ltd. of the United Kingdom was found guilty of price fixing in November of last year, along with three other companies: Asahi Glass Co. of Japan, Saint-Gobain of France, and Guardian of Auburn Hills, Mich. … read more
