Glaston officials appoints board, approves dividends at general meeting
Glaston Corp., Finland, held its annual general meeting March 11, with shareholders approving dividends of 15 cents per share, totaling more than $12 million, according to a same day company release. Dividends will be paid March 25.
Shareholders also approved appointments, re-appointing Claus von Bonsdorff, Klaus Cawén, Carl-Johan Rosenbröjer, Christer Sumelius and Andreas Tallberg for another yearlong term. Jan Lång, president and CEO of Uponor Corp., Finland, and Mikael Mäkinen, president and CEO of Cargotec Corp., Finland, were appointed as new members of the board.
The company’s 2007 financial report was approved during the meeting. Net sales for the company reached $416 million, up from $337 million in 2006. Operating profits topped $25 million, up from about $17 million last year.
