Arch Aluminum and Glass, ACI Glass Products (formerly Vitro Architectural Products) and United Glass Corp. have combined and re-emerged as Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions. The new company--formed through acquisitions made by Sun Capital Partners--will continue to service the commercial glazing market.

PPG reports record earnings
PPG Industries reported sales for the second quarter of 2011 of $4.0 billion, an increase of 15 percent versus the prior year's second quarter. Glass segment sales were $274 million, up 11 percent.
