Chapter Updates: Regional Associations Host Annual Golf Tournaments
The Washington Glass Association will host its 30th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club in Federal Way, Washington.
And the Mid-Atlantic Glass Association invites the glass industry to its Fall Golf Tournament on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Whisky Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, Maryland. Registration open until September 16.

Eight Ways to Finance Your Glass Business

Accessing conventional financing remains difficult, especially for companies in the construction industry. Banks remain conservative and provide loans or lines of credit only to companies that meet very strict criteria—a company must be profitable, have two years of positive trading experience, have hard assets, and have owners with good personal credit. Due to the recent recession, few small or midsized glass companies can meet these criteria.

Consequently, glass companies face a financial dilemma. They need funding so they can take on customers and grow, but lenders won’t provide funding until these companies show growth and stability. Read More...
