BEC Conference 2018 Recap

Another great BEC Conference is now in the books, and once again it was a major winner. Like the many I have attended previously, I left very fired up about what I learned and who I got to meet and spend time with.

This year the attendee numbers were strong, with more than 500 there who were active, either in the conference area or in the mini trade show spot. This was the first year since those crazy pre-recession days that the numbers were that impressive. To recap, here’s what stuck out for me.

The 2018 Top Glass Fabricators | Up to the Challenge

Fabricators report sales gains in face of increased complexity, labor struggles and supply concerns

Glass Magazine, the official publication of NGA, has issued its 2018 Top Glass Fabricators report. The listing of top fabricators, based on annual sales volume, is accompanied by market statistics and notable projects from a selection of top glass fabricators.

2017 was a year of strong growth for most U.S. and Canadian glass fabricators, according to Glass Magazine’s annual Top Glass Fabricators report. Eighty-one percent of firms added production capacity during the year, and 71 percent reported year-over-year sales growth, according to the report. Nearly all Top Glass Fabricators—91 percent—report capital acquisition plans, and 86 percent have plans for future expansions.

31st Mid-Atlantic Glass Expo Taking Place April 18
