With the combination of NGA and GANA, we’re happy to announce that all members now have access to even more technical resources available on our partner site, Techstreet.  More than 70 Glass Informational Bulletins (GIBs) are available – the majority are at NO COST.  Many technical manuals, written by industry experts, are also available at a discounted member rate, including the just-updated Project Manager's Reference Manual. Manuals are available in printed, downloadable PDF or combo (printed and PDF) format.

NGA Update from President & CEO Nicole Harris

Earlier this month, NGA president & CEO Nicole Harris hosted a live webinar to update participants on the association's activities since completing its combination with GANA in February of this year. In addition to reporting many achievements in the areas of advocacy, education and membership, the association's vision and goals moving forward were also highlighted.

Thirsty Thursday Webinar: Security Glazing for Schools

NGA Launches Two New AIA-accredited Presentations
As an AIA-accredited provider of CES credits, NGA offers several presentations, authored by NGA and its volunteer members, and available as a benefit to member companies to provide on-site presentations to architect firms. The newest presentations available are Multi-Cavity Insulating Glass Units and Fire-Rated Glazing Today.

Fire-Rated Glazing Today provides an updated study on the fire-rated glazing material available in today's market, and Multi-Cavity Insulating Glass Units is a new study on the design, construction and application of multi-cavity glazing, as well as the ideal use for performance achievements.

Recruiting Realities, Poaching Pitfalls
Companies need to fill jobs. Can recruiters help?

There are currently more open jobs in the United States than people available to fill them, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Every industry has a labor problem. Every industry must consider how to do business anyway.

In the glass and glazing industry, add the booming construction market, increased costs and challenges with attracting a younger generation, and the stakes to find employees are very high. As a result, it is more commonplace for employers to use recruiting agencies and attempt to attract employed talent to fill open positions.

Minnesota Glass Association Hosts Annual Meeting and Social

The Minnesota Glass Association (MGA) is hosting its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. In addition, the event will include dinner, a social and WhirleyBall!

MGA members only are eligible to attend the Annual Meeting taking place from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m, but all are invited to enjoy dinner, a social and WhirlyBall, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Read more for details and registration.


HAGA Christmas Party and Casino Night Supports Local Community

The Houston Area Glass Association (HAGA) will host its 2018 Christmas Party and Casino Night on Thursday, December 6 at the Westwind Club in Houston.
