Number of years in business: 18

Company motto: “Your windows to the high desert”
Secret to success: Honesty and dedication. “Mike is here at 6 a.m., 6 days a week,” says Sonia Silveroli. “He has incredible dedication to this business. He is dependable and honest. I have had customers tell me, ‘I might be able to get this glass cheaper someplace else, but I have known Mike for many years, and I trust him.”
Biggest challenge of 2015: The slow recovery. “The market is picking up, but slowly,” Mike Silveroli describes. “Builders are cautious; owners are cautious. There were a lot of foreclosed homes in this area, and builders are leery of getting started [on new projects].”
One word to describe the industry: Changing. “Things are changing in the industry, particularly in our local market. We are seeing Internet competition—customers getting quotes for projects like mirror walls off the Internet from fly-by-night companies. And we are seeing changes at our suppliers. Some of our suppliers don’t deliver to us anymore,” Mike Silveroli says.
