Annual Conference: Register Now for Early-Bird Savings
Early-bird rates for the National Glass Association's 2019 Annual
Conference, taking place January 22 - 24, 2019 at the Naples Grande
Beach Resort in Naples, Florida, will only be in effect until November 15,
2018. The conference provides dedicated time for NGA’s Fabricating and Forming Committees to meet and discuss open work items, new resource development, and trends and issues facing the industry. The event kicks off Tuesday 1/22 with an optional golf scramble for charity, and other networking highlights include a welcome reception, a volunteer celebration dinner and annual fun run.

Robotic Revolution
In push for automation, North American glass fabricators begin to adopt factory robots

Now more than ever, North American glass fabricators are seeking
machines that allow them to meet increasing volume demands in the face
of the ongoing labor shortage. They demand equipment that limits touches
on glass, improves quality, ups efficiency and provides operator
safety. In short, they want automation, and key to this automation for
some fabricators will be robots, according to exhibitors from GlassBuild America 2018.
Robots—specifically multi-dimensional articulating robotic arms programed to perform handling and fabrication tasks—were one of the most talked-about innovations on the GlassBuild show floor. GlassBuild attendees could see a trio of large robots operating a complete insulating glass production line; a line of smaller adaptive robots handling gas filling, closing and sealing of IG units; impressive handling robots for oversized glasses; and more.

HAGA Christmas Party and Casino Night Supports Local Community
The Houston Area Glass Association (HAGA) will host its 2018 Christmas
Party and Casino Night on Thursday, December 6 at the Westwind Club in
Houston. The event supports "Toys for the Community" and attendees are
asked to bring unwrapped toys to donate. Read more for details and
