'Solution Sessions' to Debut at Window & Door Dealer Days

In addition to a robust line-up of speakers and networking opportunities at WDDA’s Window & Door Dealer Days, taking place Oct. 19 & 20 at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas, this year’s educational events will feature a new break-out session format dubbed as ‘Solution Sessions.’

Solution Sessions will group industry peers who share similar interests, but do not compete geographically, into roundtable discussions. Topics will include hiring strategies, sales & marketing, contract & legal issues, installation, and new product trends.

While not all business owners necessarily hate Yelp, many window and door professionals would be perfectly happy if America’s biggest consumer review site simply disappeared from the Internet.

While Yelp can be challenging and even frustrating, it is an undeniable force that consumers rely on. Consider that, according to Yelp’s latest factsheet, 12 percent of the site’s users access reviews for home and local services—the third highest category, behind restaurants and shopping. So, it’s important to do what is in your power to become one of the 44 percent of ratings that earn five stars, instead of the 15 percent of businesses that receive one star.
