Window & Door Dealer Days and The Dream Showroom Win in Las Vegas

GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo and the second annual Window & Door Dealer Days were a hit in Las Vegas. GlassBuild 2016 featured more than 430 of the industry’s leading suppliers and  drew nearly 9,000 visitors to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 3-day event.

Twelve of those suppliers were found in The Dream Showroom, a popular focal point of WDDA's Window & Door Dealer Days. Those suppliers included: Flexscreen LLC, GlassWorks, JELD-WEN, LaCantina Doors, Loewen, ODL, Panda Windows & Doors, Pirnar, PR Germany, Renoworks, Summit Automation, and Sunrise Windows, Ltd.

“It’s important to come to these types of events because when we get together [with dealers] here, we can talk about things that matter to their business,” said Al Babiuk, president and CEO of Loewen.

Dealer of the Year Awards 2016: Honoring Excellence

Each year, Window & Door, the official magazine of the Window & Door Dealers Alliance, has the honor of learning how dealers across the country are elevating the industry. We hear from companies that are experiencing growth, investing in their marketing and outreach efforts, and building strong partnerships with suppliers and customers alike. We were inspired by stories of how dealers are giving back to their communities and others who are embracing the modern age of doing business. We heard from manufacturers’ reps, too, who told us about their all-star dealers and gave us hundreds of valid reasons why their customers deserved to be recognized.

Sheridan Talks Trust, Content in Keynote Address

Marcus Sheridan, The Sales Lion, kicked off Window & Door Dealer Days on Wednesday, October 19 with a call to action for business owners to build more trust with their audience. “The business we’re all in is trust,” he asserted in his keynote address.

Sheridan shared his experiences of how he brought his swimming pool company from the brink bankruptcy to what is today the most trafficked swimming pool website in the world, garnering over 500,000 visitors a month. His secret, he revealed, is anticipating and answering questions, addressing common perceptions of problems with your products, and staying relevant in a changing digital landscape. “Talking openly about questions—good, bad or ugly—can help generate trust," he said.
