Did You See? GlassBuild America Videos and Slide Presentations

For those who were unable to make it to GlassBuild America this year due to the weather or those who attended and would like to review the dynamic educational content, we are making available videos and slides for many of the presentations.

Despite the weather challenges, GlassBuild America 2017 successfully provided attendees with a myriad of educational speakers and topics.

Will the President’s recent executive order–that he says will lower health insurance premiums by allowing the availability of association health plans to expand nationwide to allow more employers to participate—give us access to additional health insurance options through our membership?

A:  The association community, led by ASAE, of which WDDA is an active member, has been pursuing legislation to achieve this for many years, so far unsuccessfully.   The health insurance industry has vigorously opposed legislation, fearing competition from association-sponsored nationwide plans that meet only the requirements of a single state—presumably the one that regulates the least—while the existing health insurance plans have huge regulatory burdens and expenses in each of 50 states.

Katie Gregg Joins WDDA as Associate Director, Industry and Member Engagement

The Window & Door Dealers Alliance (WDDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Gregg as Associate Director, WDDA Industry and Member Engagement. Ms. Gregg comes to WDDA from America’s Essential Hospitals, where she served as senior manager of membership and marketing for five and a half years. Previous to that she worked in communications at the Healthcare Distribution Alliance for more than two years. She holds a Bachelors of Corporate Communications and Marketing Degree from Susquehanna University.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Katie to the team,” said Michele Nosko, NGA\WDDA Director of Membership and Marketing. “She brings with her a wealth of trade association experience, and is looking forward to getting to know our member companies to find out how we can help them be more successful.”

2017 Dealers of the Year

Last month, Window & Door magazine and the Window & Door Dealers Alliance announced its 2017 Dealers of the Year at GlassBuild America in Atlanta. The October/November issue of the magazine takes an in-depth look inside the award-winning companies, spelling out what each is doing well in its respective market.
