Window & Door Dealer Day Registration Coming Soon!

Registration for WDDA's Window & Door Dealer Day, taking place September 13, 2018 in Las Vegas, will open in April, with discounted early-bird registration prices effective through June. This year's event is a full-day of education and networking designed for owners and top managers of businesses who furnish and install residential windows and doors.

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with industry peers in a non-competitive environment, learn from industry benchmarking, share challenges and successes in interactive small group sessions and take away specific action items to help make their businesses more profitable. The event will also feature plenty of networking opportunities and includes breakfast, lunch and an afternoon reception.

Window Safety Week

How your company can help to prevent accidental falls
From Window & Door magazine's THE TALK...

Window Safety Week, held next week, is observed to heighten the awareness of what parents and caregivers should do to help keep their family and visitors safer from the risks of window falls or injuries in their home, as well as how they can use their windows for emergency escape and rescue purposes.

While everyone in our industry knows that window safety is important year-round, this is a great opportunity to think about how your company can promote safety and to get crucial information out to your customers. There are many tools and resources available to you and your company to educate your customers about what it means to practice window safety.

We all know how important your company’s online reputation is to your business. These days, virtually no one chooses a product and/or service provider without looking up that business online—and this is definitely true for the window and door industry. Would you invest several thousands of dollars into new products for your home without knowing how other customers rated the provider? Would you buy from a business with an overall rating of less than three stars?

It’s important to improve your online reputation as needed by generating a large quantity of positive reviews on Google, Yelp and Facebook. But it’s just as important to monitor your reputation by keeping an eye out for negative reviews—either by regularly checking the review sites or using automated software (or both).
