Marvin Employees Share $13 Million
Marvin Windows & Doors’ employees found out just before the holidays that they will split more than $13 million in profit sharing for 2007. About 3,500 employees out of Marvin’s workforce of 5,500 people will receive the benefit.

“We had a very strong sales year and a very strong profit year in 2007,” Susan Marvin, president, told the Grand Forks Herald newspaper. “It was a good year. We are especially happy about it in light of what is going on in the industry.”

A privately held company, Marvin does not release financial earnings, but it told the newspaper that 2006 set sales records and 2007 wasn’t far behind.

The $13.1 million profit sharing comes on the heels of a $15.7 million distribution in 2006. The Warroad, Minn.-based manufacturer has distributed profits to its employees since 1957.
