Custom Glass Expands Midwest Production
Custom Glass Products Inc., Schofield, Wis., has finished construction of a new state-of-the-art glass fabrication facility in nearby Weston. The new 70,000-square-foot plant features improved work flows, a new convection tempering plant, edge fabrication equipment, and automated IG manufacturing, reports the company’s Steven Reeder.

This plant enables Custom Glass Products to meet the growing needs of high quality fabricated glass products for the Midwest. The company also continues to operate its Decralite plant in Schofield, where it produces its one-piece muntin grids for both the residential and commercial market.

In addition to the Wisconsin locations, Custom Glass Products of Carolina Inc. also operate two production centers in Salisbury, N.C. Last year, the company also acquired Custom Window Products LLC, a vinyl bending operation located in Thomasville, N.C. The company is now bending shapes for several vinyl window manufacturers in the Southeast, Reeder notes.
