Peachtree to Expand Door Manufacturing
in Wisconsin
Peachtree Doors & Windows is expanding its manufacturing in Park Falls, Wis., to include steel and fiberglass entry door systems, and its Citadel fiberglass foamed-in patio door. The company states it is adding 100 to 125 employees to assemble its new entry door product line, which was recently introduced at the International Builder’s Show.

“By manufacturing these products in central Wisconsin, we can consolidate customers’ orders that include windows, patio doors and entry doors into a single delivery,” says Jeff Kibler, brand manager for Peachtree. “Peachtree offers a ‘whole-house’ package, providing customers the advantage of coordinating color, finish and style options of windows, patio doors and entry door systems throughout the house. With the impressive new entry door product line we recently unveiled and the expanded production capability in Park Falls, we will be able to provide even more value in service and support to builders and remodelers.”

Peachtree announced plans to discontinue production at its Georgia plant last fall. Entry door operations are now being located in a 500,000-square-foot facility that also manufactures Peachtree’s swinging and sliding aluminum clad patio doors, as well as products offered by Peachtree sister company Weather Shield Windows & Doors. A nearby warehouse was purchased in the fall of 2007 to provide storage.

The new Peachtree entry door product line includes three lines of fiberglass panels—the Mahogany Collection, the Rustic Collection and the Oak & Smooth Collection, as well as expanded steel panel models, and eight unique decorative glass designs.
