G.I.T. Acquires Vitrerie Briere
G.I.T. Doors & Windows Ltd. has acquired window and door manufacturer Vitrerie Brière and integrated the company into G.I.T.

G.I.T. reports the deal will allow the company to offer a wide range of residential doors and windows in aluminum, composite and PVC that meet existing standards of quality, durability, efficiency and design; as well as commercial window services.

As part of the new arrangement, Guy Potvin, former senior director of information technology at National Bank and former president of Vitrerie Brière, will take over as G.I.T. president. Olivier Adenot will be vice president of operations and logistics.

"We made sure that we could still count on the vast expertise of Michel Aubry, a well known expert in SME development in Quebec, as well as on the vast experience of Michel Fafard, the former president of G.I.T., who will remain in the company as vice president of sales and marketing,” Potvin says.

Montreal-based G.I.T. designs and manufactures and installs its own products. The company has four showrooms that are located in Quebec: Saint-Léonard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Repentigny and Châteauguay.
