CFPB Report Details How Largest Credit Bureaus Manage Consumer Data

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has released a report on the consumer experience with the three largest nationwide credit reporting companies which include Equifax Information Services, Experian Information Solutions and TransUnion. The report indicated that overall, credit card history dominates the information in consumer reports and that debt collection items generate the highest rate of disputes.  Read more

OCC Renews Mutual Savings Associations Advisory Committee

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has renewed the charter for the Mutual Savings Associations Advisory Committee (MSAAC) and will host the first meeting on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in Washington, DC.   Read more

 
FEMA Releases Advisory Base Flood Elevation and Flood Zone Maps

On December 15th, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) released new Advisory Base Flood Elevation (ABFE) and Flood Zone information for the following New Jersey counties: Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Union. FDIC Releases Study of Community Banking

As a result of its year-long Community Banking Initiative (CBI), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has released the results of a study of community banking in the U.S. as well as a series of supervisory and rulemaking measures relating to community banks.    Read more

The Bank of America Student Leaders Program has recognized more than 1,800 high school juniors and seniors who have a passion for improving their communities. The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact in the community and helps develop them as the next generation of community leaders through two components.
