Hughes, Kemly and Miceli Appointed to Executive Committee


At the May meeting, the NJBankers Board of Directors appointed James A. Hughes, president & CEO of Unity Bank; Thomas J. Kemly, president & CEO of Columbia Bank; and D. Nicholas Miceli, market president, TD Bank, N. A., to serve as members of the Executive Committee for the 2013-14 fiscal year. They join NJBankers officers: Chairman Stewart E. McClure, Jr., president & CEO, Somerset Hills Bank; First Vice Chairman Gerald L. Reeves, president & CEO, Sturdy Savings Bank; Second Vice Chairman Angela Snyder, CEO and vice chairman of Fulton Bank of New Jersey; and   immediate Former Chairman, Kevin Cummings, president & CEO, Investors Bank  on the committee. Board Names Karen Casey Warren Hill Award Recipient

The NJBankers Board of Directors has selected Karen Casey, senior vice president and chief credit officer at Amboy Bank and chairman of the ERM Committee, to receive the 2013 Warren Hill Award.

The Warren Hill Award was established in 1998 in honor of Warren Hill, the New Jersey League’s president from 1966 through 1975.

It is presented to a current or former committee member (bank member or associate member) who has demonstrated an overall commitment to meeting the mission of the committee, including providing assistance to NJBankers legislative and regulatory efforts and in developing educational content (seminars, articles, etc.) for the membership.    Read more

1st Constitution Bank Volunteers for Junior Achievement

Columbia Bank Foundation Helps CUMAC Food Bank with Donation for Commercial Freezer

Columbia Bank, through their Columbia Bank Foundation, recently presented a $33,000 grant to the Center of United Methodist Aid in the Community (CUMAC) food bank. The grant was used to purchase a much-needed bulk commercial freezer to increase their food storage capabilities.

The Oklahoma Bankers Association continues to collect tax-deductible contributions for the OBA Foundation to help those impacted by the tornado in the state.
