Annual Golf Outing - HUGE Success!

Bob Twillman, Stifel Nicolaus Weisel; Jim Hughes, Unity Bank; Stew McClure, Lakeland Bank and Ken VanDeventer, McCarter & English LLP spent the day golfing, networking and enjoying the weather at the NJBankers Annual Golf Outing.

The day started with heavy downpours and snarled traffic, but by registration time – nothing but bright sunshine, clear skies and 216 golfers, setting a record high for the Annual Golf Outing!  Congratulations to our 2013 Golf Chairman Stew McClure, Lakeland Bank on hosting an outstanding event this past Monday at Fiddlers’ Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ.  

Congratulations also go out to our winners on both courses, with a special congratulations to Wade Connor from Pentegra Retirement Systems who shot a Hole in One on hole 12 on the River Course! Read more

Amboy Bank Volunteers for "Bankers Build" Initiative

As part of the NJBankers "Bankers Build" Initiative, Amboy Bank employees volunteered their time rebuilding a Manasquan home that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy and is being restored by Coastal Habitat for Humanity. Columbia Bank Foundation Presents Grant to Food Bank of South Jersey

Columbia Bank, through the Columbia Bank Foundation, has presented a $20,000 grant to the Food Bank of South Jersey (FBSJ).  The grant funded the purchase of a much-needed commercial freezer to increase the food bank’s bulk storage capabilities at their distribution warehouse.

Lakeland Bank Awards Scholarships to High School Graduates

Lakeland Bank awarded $106,500 in scholarships to high school graduates dedicated to pursuing a college education at award ceremonies held earlier this year. Lakeland Bank staff presented 59 scholarships to students from Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties.   Read more
