Show Your Support for Veterans - NJBankers Veterans Day Ads Available

Veteran’s Day is November 11th and NJBankers has customizable ads so members can show their support for Veterans. Members are encouraged to place ads around the holiday in an effort to heighten awareness of our industry's initiative to provide scholarships through the New Jersey Bankers Education Foundation, Inc. The Foundation was established in 2005 to honor fallen or permanently disabled military members in the post-9/11 Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts by providing scholarships to their eligible dependents. The Foundation is completely funded by New Jersey banks and governed by industry trustees. In general, scholarships cover all or a portion of tuition and books/supplies not covered by an academic scholarship and Veteran Administration benefits.

The ads can be customized with your bank’s name and logo and come in assorted sizes in black & white or color. Ads are available in a pdf format on the NJBankers website. Click here to access the ads.

Show your support for the Foundation, Veterans and for their dependents.   Read more

Social Media General Session Added To BankHorizons Agenda

BankHorizons 2013
Wednesday, November 20, 2013
Resorts Casino Hotel, Atlantic City, NJ

Speakers John Siracusa, Rashaad Bajwa, and Mike Branton.

General Session: Making a Measurable Difference in Your Social Media with Great Content
Some of the best brands in the world build their social media strategies around 2 simple points. Great content and great distribution of that content. In this session you will learn what it means to create and distribute great content that will get your social pages buzzing. This session is targeted towards all departments of a bank, not just marketing.

Presented by: John Siracusa, President & CEO, mOSa eBank Marketing Services

Plus, the agenda has 8 more educational sessions where you’ll hear from experts who have a pulse on technology and trends in the financial services field.

Securing Bank Smartphones, Tablets and Laptops
Mobile devices doesn’t just mean Blackberries anymore. From iPhones to Androids, to tablets, laptops and more – employees are accessing email from more devices than ever. Sounds innocent enough, however the reality is where there is email there is confidential bank information. Gone are the days where email is just on the office PC…an average user now accesses email from 3+ devices and the regulators want to know you have a way to manage them. Learn about how to manage ALL your mobile endpoints – not just smartphones and tablets, but laptops and remote PCs as well. Learn pros, cons and costs of different technologies to secure your environment.

Presented by: Rashaad Bajwa, CISSP, President/CEO, Domain Computer Services, Inc.

Making Mobile Banking Even Better!
Your customers love mobile banking. They’re adopting it at record rates. But it’s the same as your competition. And customers don’t love it enough to gladly pay for it. So this makes it repeat the history of other “revolutionary” banking products – it’s good if it’s free, try to charge a fee for it and… not so much. So how do you make your mobile banking presence better to differentiate from competitors? Join us for our presentation, and we’ll share how.

Presented by: Mike Branton, Managing Partner, StrategyCorps
