NJBankers Board Elects 2014-15 Officers

         

At its meeting last week, the NJBankers Board of Directors elected officers for the association’s 2014-15 fiscal year. They are

Chairman
Gerald L. Reeves, president & CEO, Sturdy Savings Bank
First Vice Chairman
Angela Snyder, CEO & vice chairman, Fulton Bank
of New Jersey
Second Vice Chairman 
James S. Vaccaro, president & CEO, Manasquan Savings Bank

Gerald L. Reeves is president, CEO and director of Sturdy Savings Bank, a $552 million mutual bank headquartered in Cape May Court House, New Jersey.  Reeves joined the bank in 1991 where he started Sturdy’s commercial lending program.  During his thirty years’ banking career, he was also active in Commercial Lending at Horizon Bancorp and Chemical Bank.

Angela Snyder is CEO and vice chairman of Fulton Bank of New Jersey, a Fulton Financial subsidiary headquartered in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.  Fulton Bank of New Jersey has assets of $3.5 billion and operates 73 branches throughout the state of New Jersey.  Snyder is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Fulton Bank of New Jersey.  She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

James S. Vaccaro, president and CEO, Manasquan Savings Bank, oversees the $870 million mutual bank formed in 1874. Prior to joining the bank in 2012, he was the executive vice president and COO of Springpoint Senior Living, a nonprofit provider of senior housing and health care. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial and insurance industries, having served as chairman/president/CEO of Central Jersey Bancorp, among others. Vaccaro serves on a number of boards, including those of Monmouth University, Saint Barnabas Corporation, and the Visiting Nurses Association of Central New Jersey. He is a former member of the board of the New Jersey Bankers Association.

The officers will take their oath of office at the Second General Session (May 3, 2014) at the 110th Annual Conference at the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort in Marco Island, Florida.

McCarty Appointed to Fill Vacancy on NJBankers Board of Directors

Donald McCarty, Chief Executive Officer for Susquehanna Bank’s Greater Delaware Valley Market, has been appointed by the Board of Directors to fill the District 3 vacancy resulting from the resignation of Thomas Geisel. McCarty is responsible for the delivery of the company’s full array of financial products through its 69 branch office locations throughout the market. He also oversees the bank’s Middle Market Lending line of business which targets large middle market companies throughout the Susquehanna footprint.

FHLBNY Declares a 4.75% Dividend for the Fourth Quarter of 2013

I am pleased to announce that, on February 14, 2014, your Board of Directors approved a dividend for the fourth quarter of 2013 of 4.00% (annualized), and a supplemental dividend for the quarter of 0.75% (annualized), for a total dividend for the fourth quarter of 2013 of 4.75% (annualized). The dollar amount of the fourth quarter of 2013 dividend will be approximately $65.6 million. The cash dividend was distributed on February 18, 2014.
