Magyar Bank Holds Food Drive for MCFOODS

Magyar Bank recently completed a food drive for MCFOODS, the Middlesex County organization that supplies food products to food banks and soup kitchens in the area.  While the need is always high year-round, summer is particularly challenging for food banks.  Children who would regularly receive breakfast and lunch at school will be home during the summer months, resulting in an increase in demand for area food banks.  The food drive was held in conjunction with Magyar’s Community Shred Days.  Customers visited Magyar locations with their personal documents which were safely destroyed by a high capacity shredder, and also brought non-perishable food items for the food drive.  Magyar employees also contributed items to the food drive.

(From Left to right):  Standing next to some of the items that were collected during Magyar Bank’s Food Drive for MCFOODS are Kenneth Bland, community relations specialist, Magyar Bank, Jay Castillo, SVP, Magyar Bank, Thomas Ellison, MCFOODS, Jane S. Leal, director of administration, Middlesex County Improvement Authority, and Jon Ansari, EVP, CFO, Magyar Bank.
