NJBankers Membership Approves Bylaw Changes; 2014-15 Officers Re-elected to Serve in 2015-16

The New Jersey Bankers membership approved bylaw changes that gives the Board of Directors the option to extend the terms of its vice chairs and former chairs from two to three consecutive years.  The bylaws had already permitted the chair to serve two consecutive years. Seventy-two (72) percent of the membership voted and ratified the amendments by a vote of 72-2. The changes are effective immediately.

At its March meeting, the Board conditionally re-elected the 2014-15 Officers to remain serving in the current positions for the 2015-16 fiscal year pending the outcome of the voting. With the approval of the bylaws amendments, the election of the officers is official. The officers for the coming year will be:

Chairman: Gerald Reeves, Sturdy Savings Bank
First Vice Chair:  Angela Snyder, Fulton Bank of New Jersey
Second Vice Chair: James Vaccaro, Manasquan Savings Bank
Immediate Former Chair: Stewart McClure, Jr., Lakeland Bank
Former Chair: Kevin Cummings, Investors Bank

NJBankers thanks all members that participated in the voting.

James M. Meredith, Executive Vice President & COO, New Jersey Bankers Association

The New Jersey Bankers Association is pleased to partner again with Crowe Horwath LLP to provide members with the 2015 Financial Institutions Compensation Survey.  Last year’s survey was well received by our members and demonstrated the value of detailed information on salaries, benefits and human resource practices.  We strongly encourage your participation for this year’s report.  With completion and purchase of this survey, you will obtain descriptions and useful benchmarks of compensation for 239 positions.  You will also better understand the compensation, incentives, benefits and human resource practices of financial institutions.  By participating in the survey, members will receive the survey results at a substantial discount and you will help make the survey better for all participants.  Please be assured that any information provided will be retained confidentially and securely!

We appreciate your participation in the survey and we are offering the survey reports at significant savings to participants.  In addition to a report for the state of New Jersey, Crowe will also have a Comprehensive Report available based on financial institutions in multiple states.  You can participate in and purchase either the Compensation & Benefits Reports or the Salary Survey or both.  Please respond to compensation.survey@crowehorwath.com to confirm your participation and the Crowe team will forward, via e-mail, the survey for your completion.  If you have any questions, please contact Jim Meredith at NJBankers (908.272.8500, ext. 614; jmeredith@njbankers.com)
