State Bankers Associations Challenge NCUA as ‘Cheerleader’
Continuing the banking industry's press against overreach by the National Credit Union Administration, NJBankers and 52 other state bankers associations yesterday wrote to Congress urging them to further investigate NCUA and its efforts to subvert congressional intent.

UCC Filers in New Jersey Required to File Electronically
The Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (“DORES”) recently announced a new rule regarding Uniform Commercial Code (“UCC”) filings in New Jersey.  Effective July 1, 2015, all filings must be submitted electronically, and any paper filings received by DORES after the effective date will be rejected.  Though DORES allows for an exemption from this new procedure for those who wish to file by paper, anyone who wishes to obtain such an exemption must submit a written request to New Jersey’s UCC filing office and certify that the electronic filing requirement would pose an “undue hardship on the submitter.”

The FDIC's New York Region will host a Regional Regulatory Teleconference on “CRA – Understanding Community Development.” The teleconference will provide an overview of the regulatory community development  definition; Define and provide examples of community development activities; discuss best practices for identifying, tracking, and documenting community development activities; and discuss resources and strategies for identifying community development opportunities.
