Senior Management Conference A Success

NJBankers Chairman Gerald L. Reeves, president and CEO, Sturdy Savings Bank welcomes attendees to the 93rd Annual Senior Management Conference at Ocean Place Resort and Spa. The Conference in Long Branch attracted 250 bankers, service providers and guests to the two-day event. A total of 50 different member banks attended the event. ABA Presents Survey: 2 in 5 Americans Use Mobile Banking Monthly
Two in five Americans (39 percent) use a mobile device to manage their bank account at least once per month and nearly half of mobile device owners (45 percent) do so, according to a recent survey by the American Bankers Association.  

CFPB Updates Reg Z Dollar Thresholds
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has announced 2016 changes in dollar thresholds for several Regulation Z provisions governed by the CARD Act, the Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act and the Dodd-Frank Act. The thresholds, which are based on changes in the Consumer Price Index, edged down or remained unchanged due to low inflation.

Agencies to Host Fair Lending Webinar
On Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. EDT, the federal banking agencies will host a free webinar on fair lending hot topics for 2015. The webinar will cover the use of data in evaluating fair lending risk, compliance management, pricing issues, factoring in maternity leave, post-origination risk and other topics. Each day they pick up fresh and prepared excess foods and deliver it to more than 80 recipient agencies in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic and Essex counties. For the past nine years they have held a one day initiative  BAG A LUNCH, HELP A BUNCH.  On this day they ask that students in schools and employees in businesses to donate the equivalent of one day’s lunch money to help Table to Table continue to fight hunger in our communities.
