NJBankers Leadership Academy Launches Class of 2016

The NJBankers Leadership Academy was launched this past week with the first sessions of the STEM and STEP modules. STEM is the acronym for “Success Through Effective Management” and STEP stands for “Success Through Effective Practices of Supervision.”

Monmouth County Freeholders Recognize Bankers Build

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders presented a Recognition Certificate at their recent meeting acknowledging and giving accolades to NJBankers for our Bankers Build initiative. NJBankers President/CEO John McWeeney; EVP/Director of Government Relations Mike Affuso; Amboy Bank EVP/COO Stan Koreyva, and Two  River Community Bank President/CEO Bill Moss attended the ceremony and thanked the Freeholders for the recognition.

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders  presented a Recognition Certificate acknowledging the impact of Bankers Build on the coastal communities affected by Superstorm Sandy. Time Running Out to Participate in NJBankers Compensation Survey Conducted by Crowe Horwath

FDIC Issues Final Rule on Small Bank Deposit Insurance

The FDIC approved a final rule for assessing deposit insurance premiums on banks with under $10 billion in assets. Under the rule, assessment rates will be calculated using financial measures and supervisory ratings derived from a statistical model estimating the probability of failure over three years.

Federal Reserve Bank of New York's April 2016 Business Leaders Survey Results
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's April 2016 Business Leaders Survey  indicates that activity in the region’s service sector was flat. The survey’s headline business activity index fell eleven points to 1.5. The business climate index declined nine points to -18.7, signaling that, on balance, respondents continued to view the business climate as worse than normal.
