NJBankers Op Ed Notes Contribution of NJ Banking Industry to NJ Economy

NJBankers commissioned a study with the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, Rutgers University, to verify the positive impact that the NJ banking industry has on the Garden State's economy.

An OpEd, penned by NJBankers President and CEO John McWeeney, Jr., noted this positive impact and was picked up in several media outlets including the Gannett chain.

Concluding that banks are an important part of New Jersey’s economy, McWeeney noted how the industry helps to drive growth and prosperity in the state.

Michael Affuso, NJBankers EVP and Director of Government Relations, presented the study’s results in a testimony to the New Jersey State Legislature Assembly Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee which was well received.

NJBankers will continue monitoring the press for placement of the OpEd and will continue to send opinion letters to support what we all know; banks support the communities they serve with diverse and dynamic initiatives. Click Here to View OpEd
