The New Jersey Bankers Association has installed the officers for its 2016-2017 fiscal year. NJBankers officers, along with the Board of Directors, guide the Association as it implements its mission of representing the membership’s interests before state and federal government and regulatory authorities, providing support in public and media relations, professional development and providing employee health insurance benefit programs through its licensed insurance brokerage facility, Bankers Cooperative Group. These officers also serve on the Association’s Executive Committee.

Gallup Poll: Banks Most Trusted for Protecting Personal Data
Banks are the institutions most trusted to protect individuals’ personal data, according to new Gallup research focusing on how millennials -- those born roughly from 1980 to 2000 -- view privacy and data security. Sixty-seven percent of millennials, and 56 percent of other generations, say they have “a lot of trust” in their primary banks to safeguard personal information.

Regal Bank Announces 2016 Livingston Summer Concert Series
For the 8th consecutive year, Regal Bank will sponsor the Livingston Summer Concert Series, featuring live musical performances every Sunday evening in July. All concerts take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Gazebo at Memorial Field. Should there be inclement weather, shows will be held in the Livingston High School Auditorium.

Classes have begun!
The NJBankers Leadership Academy is a comprehensive curriculum which provides the tools for all levels of bankers to succeed in their careers, support their financial institution, and advocate for the banking industry. 
STEM is a three-day program with classes on Management Fundamentals, Coaching for Success and Planning & Conducting Effective Performance Evaluations. Prerequisite: Assistant Branch Managers, Branch Managers, and/or Department Managers.
STEPS is  a three-day program with classes on Critical Skills for Supervisors, Coaching for High Performance and Time Management & Delegation. Prerequisite: Head Tellers/Teller Supervisors and/or Departmental First-Line Supervisors.
The Women’s Leadership in the 21st Century: A Communication Boot Camp is an intensive, practical, highly interactive boot camp which focuses candidly and analytically on the communication challenges facing women in banking today.  Prerequisite: all levels of bankers.
The Emerging Leaders Curriculum, funded by Fulton Bank of New Jersey,  is designed to develop emerging leaders in the areas of leading change, maximizing team development, talent development/performance management, communication effectiveness, strategic banking, and individual development planning. Classes begin September 28, 2016 and end May 24, 2017. Prerequisite: Participants should have direct reports and 3 – 5 years management experience with potential for leadership.
