NMHC/NAA invites members to participate in a legislative fly-in on Wednesday, Nov. 19 to meet with key congressional offices and urge lawmakers to act now for a multiyear reauthorization.

Growing Renter Demand Expands Beyond Millennials

Millennials may be the target renter demographic du jour, but the latest NMHC Quarterly Survey results also show that apartment demand is also coming from demographics beyond the core mid-to-late twenties set.

“Young people still make up a disproportionate share of apartment renters. But now we’re starting to see growing segment of baby boomers attracted to apartment living,” said NMHC Senior Vice President of Research and Chief Economist Mark Obrinsky.
