Professional Floral Communicators - International (PFCI) established "Bucks for Bobbi," an AFE memorial tribute, honoring celebrated floral designer and mentor Bobbi Ecker-Blatchford, AAF, AIFD, PFCI.

Created with a $1,000 contribution from PFCI members, the Bobbi Ecker-Blatchford Memorial Tribute — affectionately called "Bucks for Bobbi" — honors her life and contributions to the floral industry.

2017 Fundraising Dinner Announced

Industry Pays Tribute to Tom Butler for Second Annual Fundraising Dinner

Nearly $2,000 was raised at the second annual fundraising dinner for The Tom Butler Family Fund, honoring the legacy of the late Tom Butler.

The dinner was held on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Tom's favorite restaurant – The Capital Grille in Washington, D.C. – during the Society of American Florists' Congressional Action Days (CAD).

NFF Meets in Philly for Spectacular Flower Show, Tours

AFE traveled to Philadelphia on March 17-19, 2017 to participate in the National Floriculture Forum (NFF), an annual educational meeting where academia and industry meet to discuss and advance floriculture.

More than 30 industry leaders, university faculty and graduate students attended the 2017 NFF event, including six members of AFE's Young Professionals Council.
