Two New Botrytis and Thrips Projects Underway

Thrips

In 2017, a special AFE research campaign was established to address the control and management of Botrytis and thrips.

The goal is to raise $1.5 million through industry support to conduct new and innovative research leading to effective control procedures and management strategies. 

There are several research projects being funded by the Endowment, but two are currently being fast-tracked in 2018.

Students Can Apply Now for MS/Ph.D. Scholarships

We're now accepting applications for the Altman Family Scholarship and the Paul Ecke, Jr. Scholarship.

Graduate students who have the skills and passion to become floricultural scientists and educators can receive up to $10,000, so apply online NOW!

The application deadline is February 1, 2018.

Promoting Floral Careers & Opportunities

The Young Professionals Council (YPC) has been hard at work creating new brochures, a career fair board and a PowerPoint presentation to share with students and other young professionals to encourage them to get active and join the floral industry.

YPC and industry members can use these materials at careers days and industry events to help promote our industry.
