Major Newspapers Report SAF's Home Makeover Tips

Flowers and florists are among the "6 tips to having . . . . . . a guest-ready home 24/7," according to the Chicago Tribune. And in the south, Atlanta Journal-Constitution readers found out "How to avoid 'dash and stash' when the doorbell rings" using flowers.

Both articles publish recommendations straight from SAF's Home Makeover public relations campaign, which weaves the floral message into advice for achieving an aesthetically pleasing, guest-ready home.

The Chicago Tribune reported: "Get personal. Personalize your entryway with a display of family photos or fresh flowers. Having these items on tables will prevent clutter from accumulating. ... Bind it up. Create a binder to serve as a permanent reference for take-out menus, coupons, gift certificates and frequently needed phone numbers, such as the dry cleaner, doctor, florist, hairstylist, pizza deliverer."

This article generated more than 1.8 million consumer impressions, the number of times people are exposed to the message.

Among Home Makeover tips in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: "Put photographs or fresh flowers on tables or other surfaces so no one drops other items off there."

This article generated more than 1.1 million consumer impressions, bringing the total impressions produced by SAF's Home Makeover campaign to more than 11 million since its launch in April.

The strategic campaign leverages the power of a celebrity spokeswoman and targeted pitching to key media. SAF worked with organizational expert Vicki Norris, author of Restoring Order(tm) to Your Home and a regular contributor on HGTV's Mission: Organization, to develop the tips and talking points. The Home Makeover program is a direct result of the SAF Fund for Nationwide Public Relations.
