Minn. Paper Publishes SAF Flower Care Tips

The Post-Bulletin reports tips
from aboutflowers.com

A Minnesota newspaper gave readers a dose of proper flower care from aboutflowers.com, SAF's consumer Web site. In "Taking Care of Flowers" the Rochester, Minn., Post-Bulletin reported on SAF's consumer tips to increase the longevity of container arrangements, boxed flowers, loose flowers and bunches.

The story also reminded readers to "keep the vase filled (or floral foam soaked) with water containing the flower food provided by the florist."

This article is a direct result of the SAF Fund for Nationwide Public Relations, an industry-wide promotion effort designed to reach millions of consumers with positive messages about the benefits of flowers and the expertise of professional florists in the context of everyday news.

Since its launch in 2001, PR Fund programs have generated nearly 750 million consumer impressions (the number of times consumers are exposed to the message). PR Fund information is at www.safnow.org/prfund.

Make the results of PR programs work for your shop with SAF's customizable press releases, available at www.safnow.org/customizable_press_releases.
