AIFD Displays 'Outstanding' Flowers

Some of the fabulous flowers on display
at AIFD's 2007 Symposium.

The winners of SAF's 2006 Outstanding Varieties Competition got to strut their stuff (again), this time at the American Institute of Floral Designers' 2007 Symposium.

The Best in Class and Blue Ribbon winners from SAF's 2006 Outstanding Varieties Competition were on display at AIFD's Symposium in Palm Desert, Calif., July 7-11, which drew about 1,200 attendees.

"The ongoing exposure of Outstanding Varieties puts us in front of the marketplace," says attendee Chad Nelson of Eufloria Flowers in Nipomo, Calif. Eufloria's 'Polar Star' Standard Rose took Best in Show at the 2006 event. "It's a great promotion and marketing opportunity."

Growers: show the movers and shakers in the industry your outstanding varieties at SAF's 2007 Outstanding Varieties Competition in Palm Springs, Calif., Sept. 26 to 29. Best in Class and Blue Ribbon winners will be featured in the November 2007 issue of Floral Management magazine and invited to participate in the AIFD 2008 display.

The entry deadline is Aug. 24. For more information contact Debi Aker at daker@safnow.org; (800) 336-4743.
