N.C. Senate Passes Deceptive Listings Bill
Thanks to the hard work of North Carolina florists, the Deceptive Advertising of Business bill (S. 514), has passed the N.C. Senate unopposed and will be sent to the governor for signing.
The bill prohibits "businesses that supply perishable products from misrepresenting the geographical locations of their businesses in telephone directories, directory assistance databases, on the Internet, and in print advertisements."
The North Carolina State Florists Association has invited the governor and several other legislators to its annual convention, Aug. 10-12, in the hopes that the bill will be signed at the convention.
